This quick start tutorial is meant to get you up and running with BoostSync for Xero and ClickUp in less than 5 minutes.
Getting started
1. Log in with ClickUp
Log in with ClickUp to access the app and authorize the ClickUp workspace you want to connect.
2. Connect your Xero organization
Connect your Xero organization using Xero's secure OAuth sign-in.
Once you authorize your Xero account, you will select which organization to connect to.
Note: You can require all ClickUp members to authenticate with Xero, or use your primary admin's authorization to Xero.
3. Select and link a ClickUp list
Once you have connected your Xero org, the next step is to determine your first list you'd like to link to Xero. Click the "Discover More Lists" button.
Select the list you would like to link. You will then be prompted to set up the mapping configuration, which controls which ClickUp custom fields sync with which Xero data.
4. Copy the embed URL into your ClickUp workspace
Once the list is linked, copy the embed URL for the list and add it to an embed view in your ClickUp account for easy access later. You can copy the embed url by clicking the "Copy Embed Link" for the list.
Then create a new view in your ClickUp workspace next to your existing list
and enter the url in the website config
Once this is complete, you can easily access the app configuration without leaving your ClickUp workspace.
5. Sync or create Xero items from ClickUp tasks
In the embed view you copied above, select a task, then choose whether to link an existing Xero item or create a new one.
All dropdowns and inputs are searchable to make it easy to find existing documents and products.
Once the Xero item is linked to the task, the app automatically keeps the task up to date with the Xero item attributes.
6. Easily access your Xero items from the ClickUp list
When you map the Xero Document field to a custom field in the ClickUp list, it allows you to quickly access the Xero document.
