Quickstart

A quick guide to get you up and running quickly with Sync for eBay

1 - Add the Workspace Template

All synced eBay data lives in a monday.com workspace template—a collection of pre-configured boards that automatically organize your eBay orders. You can find this template in monday.com's Template Center after installing the app.

2 - Connect Your Accounts

Navigate to the Getting Started board view within the workspace template to connect your accounts. This one-time setup links both monday.com and eBay, allowing the app to sync orders on your behalf.

  1. Go to the Getting Started board and open the board view.
  2. Click the blue Connect to monday.com button and confirm access in the pop-up window.
  3. Once monday.com is connected, click Connect eBay and sign in to your eBay seller account. (Note: If nothing opens when you click either button, allow pop-ups in your browser and try again).
  4. Your linked eBay account is now visible under the Getting Started board. If the status displays Reconnect required, simply click it to refresh your connection.

3 - Link Your eBay Seller Account

Once your accounts are connected, you'll see a Configure Board section with a dropdown menu. Select the eBay seller account you want to use and click Save. A green confirmation will appear, confirming the board is ready.

This selection applies to both the Getting Started board and the eBay Orders board included in your workspace template. All synced orders from the selected account will appear in the eBay Orders board. If you sell from multiple eBay accounts, you will need to install a separate workspace template for each one.

4 - Sync Your eBay Data

Once the board is configured, the Import eBay Data section will appear. Select how far back you'd like to import orders—you can pick a preset number of days or enter your own—and click Start Sync. The maximum is 730 days, as eBay only provides access to up to two years of order history.

While the sync is running, the button changes to Cancel and the status area shows that the sync is in progress. Only one sync can run at a time. When it finishes, the status will update to Success.

5 - After Setup

After your first sync completes, your board will populate with your eBay orders. Individual order line items will also appear underneath each order as subitems. You can click Start Sync again at any time to pull in more recent orders or to refresh existing ones.

6 - Managing Your eBay Accounts

From the main screen, you can manage all of your connected eBay accounts. You can add another eBay account, reconnect an expired one, or remove an account. If you remove the account linked to this specific board, you'll need to reconnect it before syncing again.

To remove both your monday.com and eBay connections for the monday.com workspace entirely, use the Sign Out of Apps option.

Notes

  • Orders: Whenever an order is created, the latest order data is synced to the orders board. The system will also sync order line items as subitems in the monday.com board.
  • Troubleshooting: If items are not syncing properly, check the Getting Started board view to ensure you don't need to re-authorize your seller account.
